Inspire for Sleep Apnea
The Inspire® Implant for Obstructive Sleep Apnea
The Centers for Advanced ENT Care – Feldman ENT Division is an official provider of the Inspire® procedure for patients living with Obstructive Sleep Apnea (OSA). An alternative to CPAP and oral appliance therapies, this FDA-approved device works inside your body to help prevent sleep disruption.
What is Inspire®?
Inspire is an FDA-approved device designed to treat obstructive sleep apnea by stimulating key airway muscles. Implanted during a simple outpatient procedure, Inspire is activated with a remote control before sleep. As you rest, Inspire gently opens your airway, allowing for uninterrupted breathing and a peaceful night's sleep.
How Does Inspire Work?
Inspire therapy consists of a small generator, a sensing lead, and a stimulation lead, all controlled by a handheld remote. When activated, Inspire delivers mild stimulation to airway muscles, preventing collapse during sleep and promoting normal breathing patterns.
Safety and Effectiveness of Inspire for Sleep Apnea
Backed by FDA approval and clinical studies, Inspire has proven to be a safe and effective treatment for moderate to severe obstructive sleep apnea. With minimal risks and promising outcomes, Inspire offers a new hope for patients who have not found relief with CPAP therapy.
Who is an Ideal Candidate for Inspire Sleep Therapy?
Ideal candidates for Inspire therapy are those diagnosed with obstructive sleep apnea, have not responded well to CPAP, and are in good general health. Our team at Feldman ENT can assess your eligibility for Inspire and guide you through the consultation process.
